Victor Salazar was born in Paraguay to a pastoral family. He moved to the United States at age sixteen and finished high school and college in the Washington DC area, where he met his now wife Valerie Thomas. They got married in 2014 while Victor worked on a masters degree at the Andrews University Theological Seminary. On November of 2020 Victor and Valerie welcomed their son Julián Gael while pastoring in Visalia, California. Victor joined the pastoral staff at Sunnyvale in March of 2023. As a pastor, he’s most passionate about biblical preaching, helping others grow in their relationship with Jesus, youth and young adults groups, community service, and music as expression of worship.

When Victor’s not being a pastor, you might find him writing and recording music in his living room, surfing, playing soccer, listening to a good podcast, watching a show or film, or spending time at the park with his wife and son.
