Seventh-day Adventists accept the Bible as the source of our beliefs. We consider our movement to be the result of the Protestant conviction Sola Scriptura--the Bible as the standard of faith and practice for Christians. We believe the Bible is the revelation of God's will, the standard of character, the test of experience, and the trustworthy record of God's acts in history.

We Value Love

We love because God first loved us (1 John 4:19). We believe God is love, power, and splendor–and God is a mystery. God’s ways are far beyond us, but God still reaches out to us. In Sunnyvale we strive to create an atmosphere where you will feel loved and appreciated.

We Value Acceptance

Accept one another, just as Christ also accepted us to the glory of God (Romas 15:7). We believe that God is infinite yet intimate, three yet one, all-knowing yet all forgiving. In Sunnyvale we follow the example of Jesus and turn no one away that comes to him (John 6:37). This is a place where we believe you’ll find people who understand you and will welcome you into community.

We Value Fulfillment

I am confident of this, that the one who began a good work among you will bring it to completion by the day of Jesus Christ (Philippians 1:6). In Sunnyvale we believe that God transforms us, shows us how to live, and makes clear our need for Jesus. That through the gospel we are convicted, challenged, and encouraged.
